33 Years Ago Today

Ronald Reagan was shot by John Hinkley . Although there was an attempt on his life with a handgun, Reagan remained a strong defender of the second amendment. Can you imagine what would have happened if it were Obama?

Hinckley’s motivation for the attack was born of his obsession with actress Jodie Foster due to erotomania. While living in Hollywood in the late 1970s, he saw the film Taxi Driver at least 15 times, apparently identifying strongly with Travis Bickle, the lead character portrayed by Robert De Niro.[1][2][3] The arc of the story involves Bickle’s attempts to protect a 12-year-old child prostitute, played by Foster. Towards the end of the film, Bickle attempts to assassinate a United States Senator who is running for president. Over the following years, Hinckley trailed Foster around the country, going so far as to enroll in a writing course at Yale University in 1980 after reading in People magazine that she was a student there.[4] He wrote numerous letters and notes to her in late 1980.[5] He called her twice and refused to give up when she indicated that she was not interested in him

Shredding The Second

Shredding The Second

The ATF is doing a few test runs on bending destroying the second amendment. With armored vehicles and tactical units running around under the guise of HHS or the postal service, one wonders what in the hell happened…and where is it headed? They can’t keep illegals out, but they can harass honest working Americans. And there is something very wrong with that. ATF Searches Ares Armor

A few thoughts:

You may say to yourself, “As long as you obey the law it is not a problem. These isolated issues are just that.” That’s not the concern. The trajectory is the concern. A century ago the average American rarely bumped against agent of the national government. The Post Office was his only regular interface with Washington. He infrequently had dealings with his local government. Today, everyone of us bumps against government at all levels We must get permission for everything we do now.

Asking permission from angry, hostile men kitted out in body armor and mil-spec weaponry is a different thing than going to the zoning board for a permit to build a fence. keep reading

Remington Leaving New York After 198 Years, Packs It’s Bags For Alabama

Remington Leaving New York After 198 Years, Packs It’s Bags For Alabama

Too bad for the people losing their jobs, too bad for New York losing tax revenue, too bad for the support business that will have to close with the expansion. I think I am seeing a trend here. Due to hostile policies by liberal New York politicians, nothing good happens for the state. Nothing.
I don’t have a dog in this fight so good luck to Remington. Too bad for the people of Ilion, NY. You may want to remember this at the voting booth.remington-arms-304

High level sources have informed Yellowhammer News that Remington, one of the world’s largest gun manufacturers, will on Monday join Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley in announcing that they are bringing over 2,000 jobs to Alabama.

The company is viewing the move into Alabama as an expansion, but it will likely impact their Ilion, NY plant as well. The New York facility currently employees around 1,200 people. It is expected to stay open, but with a reduced workforce.

The initial estimated impact on Alabama’s economy will be roughly $87 million.

And It Begins

And It Begins

I mentioned in an earlier post the backdoor effort by the Obama regime to attack 2nd amendment rights under the guise of mental health. I stated that if they could claim someone who had fought in a war could be deemed mentally incapable of owning guns they would take them. Well, here ya go. The proof is in the pudding.

When did serving your country become a crime?

kirby-then-now-350.jpg

(MYRTLE CREEK, OR) – If Pat Kirby has his guns taken away by the federal government, then everyone else is probably going to eventually face the same thing. The clock is ticking. Pat Kirby is a decorated Oregon Vietnam Veteran with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). He never imagined he would receive a letter telling him he will have to turn over his guns, or face imprisonment.

He is the ultimate expression of a law abiding American citizen. He served his country, worked hard to raise a family, and created a nice life in spite of his PTSD. But his comfort zone was jerked away when he was told he had to give up one of his most basic rights for the most unbelievable reasons.

His crime?

There was no no crime. The Veterans Administration has deemed Mr. Kirby “incompetent” because his wife takes care of their finances. He has a good credit rating, he pays his taxes, he has never been arrested in his life, yet the federal government says will have to surrender his firearms and give up his Second Amendment right due to the VA’s designation of “incompetent”. His alleged incompetence is based on his own admission that he does not take care of his own finances.

Armed Robber’s Widow Suing Store Clerk Who Shot and Killed Her Husband During Robbery Attempt

Armed Robber’s Widow Suing Store Clerk Who Shot and Killed Her Husband During Robbery Attempt

You just can’t make this shit up. The lawsuit should be tossed and the attorney fined for filing the complaint. That would shut a few of these asshole lawyers down. Oh yeah, his immigration status may be in question, and he has already been up on murder charges once before in 2003.

Cases like this are exactly why if your state does not have a self defense immunity law, you need to be pushing for one. Many states have laws stating that if a shooting is ruled justifiable you cannot be sued in civil court over the incident.

On to the story. In New Mexico a widow is suing a store clerk who shot and killed her husband when he tried to rob the clerk’s store in 2010.

The widow’s case alleges that the shop clerk bears more of the blame for her husband’s death than her husband does because he had time to call the police instead of shooting her armed husband.

Yes, that’s right, she thinks the clerk is more at fault.

Sedillo’s attorney, Amavalise Jaramillo, the attorney for Sedillo’s widow, said it all comes down to who had more fault in the case.

While Jaramillo acknowledges the suspect’s role in what happened, he said Beasley shares more blame.

“He does bear some fault, but it’s like a pie. You divide out the fault accordingly, and Mr. Beasley could have done something different,” Jaramillo said.

Seriously? This isn’t a car accident where two people both did something stupid resulting in a car accident. This suspect chose to rob this store. He chose to bring a gun. He chose to point that gun at the clerk. The only choice the clerk made was refusing to be a victim.

The attorney went on, “He had no basis to believe that his life was in danger,” Jaramillo said. “Most robberies end with an attempt to get money. They really don’t kill the clerks.”

WTF? So the clerk was just supposed to put the trust for his life in the hands of a man who was pointing a gun at him, and apparently a bit desperate?

The lawsuit is also going after the owner of the shop as well as the local police department, because you can never sue enough people, right?
