FCC Commisioner Is Daughter Of House Democrat James Clyburn
The daughter of House Rep James Clyburn who was appointed by Obama is the leading advocate for monitoring newsrooms for their content.
Advocates promote the project with Obama-esque rhetoric. “This study begins the charting of a course to a more effective
delivery of necessary information to all citizens,” said FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn in 2012. Clyburn, daughter of powerful House Democratic Rep. James Clyburn, was appointed to the FCC by President Obama and served as acting chair for part of last year. The FCC, Clyburn said, “must emphatically insist that we leave no American behind when it comes to meeting the needs of those in varied and vibrant communities of our nation — be they native born, immigrant, disabled, non-English speaking, low-income, or other.” (The FCC decided to test the program with a trial run in Ms. Clyburn’s home state, South Carolina.)

Her bio reads she ran a “newspaper” and worked as a community organizer. Here is the newspaper:
“Clyburn has been a virtual one-woman show behind The Coastal Times, editing, selling ads and distributing one of two black newspapers in the Charleston area,” reported The Post and Courierwhen Clyburn left for the PSC.
The Coastal Times, had a circulation of about 5,500 free and paid copies, mostly to black churches, according to Behre of The Post and Courier.
“I don’t think it was a big money maker or a big enough operation to where she could sell it to another publisher,” Behre says.

Is it just me or is this the most arrogant thing the Obama administration has tried to pull off to date? Will the liberal media continue sucking up to this dictator or will they finally see that full government control will also claim the useful idiot?
This is shocking to me. The balls to even make an attempt is amazing, the nonchalant way that they assume it can be done is more than alarming.
I read somewhere that “we are in an awkward time where it’s too late to vote and too early to start shooting.” I’m beginning to wonder about that.
Last May the FCC proposed an initiative to thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country. With its “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” or CIN, the agency plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. A field test in Columbia, S.C., is scheduled to begin this spring.
The purpose of the CIN, according to the FCC, is to ferret out information from television and radio broadcasters about “the process by which stories are selected” and how often stations cover “critical information needs,” along with “perceived station bias” and “perceived responsiveness to underserved populations.”
Why Waste The Time?
I take the time to blog because of Andrew Breitbart. His passion and effort to expose the hypocrisy of the left moved me to start doing this. It was a dark day when we lost him. Blogging had nothing to do with the hope of money or fame, I just wanted to help out in any way that I could to get the word out. I don’t live back east, I don’t have contacts in the media or politics. I regurgitate sourced information that I find interesting, infuriating, or humorous. I have zero journalistic ability but I do toss out some thoughts of my own periodically just to get something off my chest, makes me feel better.
So here’s to Andrew Breitbart and another example of the hypocrisy he wanted to expose because the MSM refused too!
Shamelessly Stolen Thoughts On Immigration
My office looked like a bomb went off yesterday morning. Some Hispanic guys were milling around with tools, but that’s all they were doing. Another Hispanic guy, who was obviously of European stock, appeared to be in charge. The rest looked like extras from a National Geographic special on the Mayans.

Slip Sliding Away
Well written article on the ever increasing speed of Americas demise. A few excerpts:
That very day, Obama decreed that the Obamacare mandate for employers with 50 to 99 workers would be postponed until 2016 (beyond an earlier extension to 2015), well past the November 2014 midterm elections. This eases the pressure on Democrats, whose campaigns would suffer if voters saw their company health plans canceled due to Obamacare’s unnecessary, expensive, mandatory benefits — e.g. maternity coverage for men. So, by fiat, Obama has postponed the employer mandate. When Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas) effectively tried to do this through legislation last fall, Democrats virtually lassoed and branded him.
When conservatives try it…bad, when Obama does it for political reasons only…good. That’s messed up.
Also by decree last week, Obama decided unilaterally to soften political-asylum rules. Refugees and other immigrants who provide terrorists “limited material support” now can come to America. Meanwhile, the Justice Department is working hard to revoke the asylum of and deport the Romeikes. This evangelical-Christian family was granted refuge in America to escape prosecution for homeschooling their children, which German law forbids. So, Obama believes, those who are only somewhat helpful to deadly, anti-U.S. terrorists may become Americans, while religiously oppressed homeschoolers who face prison should get the hell out.
Much like the other paragraph, this is totally backwards. We welcome potential terrorists but use the DOJ to toss out a white German family who could face prison back home for the crime of….homeschooling. Idiots.
America is a total mess.
The Land of the Free is governed by an out-of-control egomaniac, neither bolstered by managerial competence nor hindered by the legislature’s institutional prerogatives. In the Home of the Brave, half of Congress cheers Obama’s unconstitutional behavior, while the other half grumbles and then meekly carpet-bombs his path with white flags.
The American people have been betrayed — both by Obama and the Democrats, whose lust for control intensifies daily, and by Republican leaders in Washington, whose cowardice and defeatism have turned their guts and spines into tapioca.
America, as Paul Simon sings, is slip-slidin’ away. And the worst part hasn’t happened yet.
