Men are not moist robots. The reason most white men don’t want to raise their kids next door to former tribesmen from Somalia is they don’t like Somalis. It is not personal, they just strongly prefer the choices of their ancestors over the choices made by the Somalis. They like their culture. They like remembering their ancestors by maintaining their traditions. They don’t want to toss what they are into the great blender of multiculturalism. It’s not about economic data or the tides of history. It is about preferences. They prefer their own over strangers.   here….

If it’s true that the GOPe is planning on keeping the tax mandate and Cadillac tax in their Obamacare replacement plan they can plan on losing whatever conservative base they have left. They all campaigned for repeal, FULL repeal, not a replacement plan. I guess they are what we knew they were, spineless cowards. Hopefully Trump and his team will see through the fiasco.

House Republicans’ new version of the replacement bill is being kept in a “dedicated reading room,” Bloomberg reported, where it will be available to members of the House Energy and Commerce committee ahead of a markup. The move is an effort to prevent leaks.

Senator Rand Paul, one of the precious few voices of fiscal sanity in Washington, is not pleased:

Paul accused House leadership of not wanting to admit to creating a watered down version of ObamaCare, and demanded that they release text of the bill.

Paul later said he’s been told the House Republicans’ draft of the repeal bill is “take it or leave it.”

71% of Iraqi refugees are receiving cash assistance. 82% are on Medicaid and 87% are on food stamps. Compare those atrocious numbers to only 17% of Cubans on cash assistance and 16% on Medicaid.

It should be obvious why Obama shut the door on Cuban refugees while holding it wide open for Syrian Muslims (but closing it tightly on Syrian Christians), Iraqis and Somalis (77.4% food stamp use).”    here….

“There is no doubt it is best to have a fair and independent press, just as there is no doubt it is best to have a sober and kind mother.

But what if the press is unfair, biased, incompetent, and lies like an actual propaganda outfit?

Wouldn’t you prefer they recognized the problem and reformed themselves?

Similarly, yes, you’d like a sober and kind mother. But what if a mother is a chronic junkie and abusive to her children? Shouldn’t she de-toxify herself both chemically and psychologically?

And if you don’t insist on that — but just babble on about how important a mother is, no matter how unmotherly she may be — aren’t you just a damn enabler to evil?

A lot of “conservatives” — Crocservatives, let’s call them — seem to be defending the media while the media still refuses to admit it’s done a damn thing wrong, and in fact is just doubling down on all its sins.”    here….

Jorge Ramos is the voice for Mexicans and Latin America in the U.S., he is wildly popular as a reporter for Univision and appears on FOX news frequently.
