As I’ve mentioned before the hate and vitriol that divides this country will get violent.
Well, here it is and it’s only a matter of time before sticks and fists are replaced by knives and guns. The question remains….where the hell are the police, the press obviously know whats going on, where are the cops?
If they won’t actively control violent protests, when someone gets killed, it’s on whoever is giving orders to law enforcement.
Watching players and caddies getting sick and dropping out of the WGC in Mexico has a touch of irony behind it.

The course itself is a beautiful old school track lined with trees and offers a unique layout. Considering it’s high elevation (7300 FT) players are having to adjust due to the ball flying farther than usual. Located smack dab in the heart of Mexico City the course looks gorgeous…..the vistas of smog enveloped buildings surrounding the golf course….not so much.
The tournament was moved from Trump Doral, which Trump bought in 2012. The Doral was part of the Florida swing sandwiched between the Honda and the Valspar. It was convenient for the players and the tour as Valspar is 70 miles away from Doral the previous week. Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City is 2300 miles away.

In June 2016 the PGA chose to accept an offer from a Mexican conglomerate to play the WGC in Mexico City. Many perceived the move as a way to punish Trump for his comments earlier in the year about Mexicans and Muslims, the tour claims it could not get a sponsor for Trumps Doral tournament which is bullshit.
And, of course, there is the backdrop that can’t be ignored: Did the PGA Tour decide last spring to move the tournament from Trump International Doral because of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s ownership of the resort?
“The people at Doral feel like they got caught in the middle,” said Joel Paige, a former vice president and managing director at Doral. “It wasn’t the venue. It wasn’t the community. It was the politics. The political thing was a lot more.
So enjoy the tournament, take note of the glowing reviews by the commentators, and remember the reason they are playing there is purely political. Tim Finchem, the PGA tour commissioner at the time, was an advisor for the Jimmy Carter administration.
Finchem served in the White House during the administration of Jimmy Carter as Deputy Advisor to the President in the Office of Economic Affairs in 1978 and 1979. In the early 1980s, Finchem co-founded the National Marketing and Strategies Group in Washington, D.C.

Men are not moist robots. The reason most white men don’t want to raise their kids next door to former tribesmen from Somalia is they don’t like Somalis. It is not personal, they just strongly prefer the choices of their ancestors over the choices made by the Somalis. They like their culture. They like remembering their ancestors by maintaining their traditions. They don’t want to toss what they are into the great blender of multiculturalism. It’s not about economic data or the tides of history. It is about preferences. They prefer their own over strangers. here….
If it’s true that the GOPe is planning on keeping the tax mandate and Cadillac tax in their Obamacare replacement plan they can plan on losing whatever conservative base they have left. They all campaigned for repeal, FULL repeal, not a replacement plan. I guess they are what we knew they were, spineless cowards. Hopefully Trump and his team will see through the fiasco.
House Republicans’ new version of the replacement bill is being kept in a “dedicated reading room,” Bloomberg reported, where it will be available to members of the House Energy and Commerce committee ahead of a markup. The move is an effort to prevent leaks.
Senator Rand Paul, one of the precious few voices of fiscal sanity in Washington, is not pleased:

But what if the press is unfair, biased, incompetent, and lies like an actual propaganda outfit?
Wouldn’t you prefer they recognized the problem and reformed themselves?
Similarly, yes, you’d like a sober and kind mother. But what if a mother is a chronic junkie and abusive to her children? Shouldn’t she de-toxify herself both chemically and psychologically?
And if you don’t insist on that — but just babble on about how important a mother is, no matter how unmotherly she may be — aren’t you just a damn enabler to evil?

I wouldn’t have watched anyway, never have, but after seeing clips of the political rants of rich useful idiots in previous award shows I think spreading the word of a boycott to drive down ratings is….useful.
