Sell The Firetruck

Sell The Firetruck

This petty petulant little man is going to make the sequester as painful as he possibly can. It started with the release of the illegals, (before the deadline), to prove that theses cuts would be devastating, and that is just for starters, it will get worse. It is a devious ploy that is going to continue as long as he can get away with it. He is going to keep cutting/slashing  jobs of important programs when he could get a resolution that could give him flexibility to cut unnecessary spending.
Well kids it ain’t gonna happen.

Obama is going to cut visible programs and blame the Republicans at every opportunity, it’s the Chicago way. As long as Republicans are battling the administration and Democrats with a new crisis, other Obama problems fade from the spotlight…..Benghazi anyone?

The old shell game is as popular as ever, problem is, the odds favor the dealer and Obama is working with house money.

ps: it was his idea.

God help us.

Gun Companies Calling It A Day

Gun Companies Calling It A Day

These companies have either committed or are considering leaving anti-gun states in support of the Second Amendment. If Remington goes, the push back on Cuomo will be intense.

Magpul – As the debate unfolds, states have made overtures to Magpul, including offering to pay their moving costs. The company won’t name the states, but Wyoming and Texas have expressed interest in netting the $85 million the company projects it will spend in Colorado next year in payments to suppliers, subcontractors and service providers. Magpul said the move would also impact its 200 employees, plus an additional 400 who work for suppliers and subcontractors.

“We truly believe this bill will do nothing. It’s a feel-good measure,” Fitzpatrick said. “But these (workers) will be directly affected.”
As far as his company leaving the state, Fitzpatrick said his company is serious. “It’s not really a threat. It’s a promise,” he said. more here

Baretta – Reh also warned the bill could prompt Beretta USA, which employs between 300 and 400 people in the state, to leave for friendlier climes.

“[W]e are confronted with a state government that wants to ban our products at a time, by the way, when numerous other state governments are courting our investment,” Reh said. “It is worth noting that these other states also do not try to blame a product for human misconduct.” more here

Sheild Tactical –  California retailer and firearms training provider, has decided to ‘get the heck out of Dodge’ — and move to Texas.

John W. Harrington founded Shield Tactical in 2008, but with California’s hard-line stance on gun control, he decided the state was no longer a good place for his business. Harrington, originally from Texas, said it was finally “time to go home.”

The company announced the move on its Facebook page last week, and the post has received more than 1,000 likes. At the time of our conversation, Harrington said the page had received about 4,000 more likes, as well as plenty of welcoming posts and comments from Texans. “I’m not surprised at all,” he said. “People of Texas — it’s hard to describe the spirit of Texans.” more here

Remington – Local officials in central New York warned of the impact should Remington Arms, a gun manufacturer in Ilion, Herkimer County, decide to pull out of the state. John Stephens, Ilion mayor, said Remington employs 1,300 people and has an economic impact of $150 million a year. He said his constituents are “nervous, reasonably so.”

“(Remington has) been pretty silent, which I guess from my standpoint, if I was that business, I probably would, too,” Stephens said. “They’re weighing their options. The reality is there, certainly.” Remington employees were among the thousands at the protest, showing their support by wearing green. One protester’s sign read: “Founded in 1816: Remington stays, Cuomo goes!” more here

A Kings Feast

A Kings Feast

I have been in a hundreds of meetings over the years. At the corporate level, we would get snacks or pizza depending on the type of meeting we were doing.
I have been in intense meetings where I knew the tensions would be extremely high and on a few occasions the threat of a punch being thrown was real. The last thing we had in front of us was food, this was not a luncheon, this was business where someone was going to leave unhappy.

So how is it that John Boehner and Mitch McConnell look like they are having a brunch in what I would assume to be budget talks. This is exactly the type of meeting where you sit on one side of the table, and your opponents on the other , this meeting looks like high tea. (whatever that is)
No wonder nothing gets done, the harsh rhetoric is saved for the media and sheeple, other than that it’s “party on Wayne!”

A False Negative

A False Negative

If you have not read Krauthammers piece, do it, he explains the Obama sequester perfectly and also the administrations plan to make it as huge and painful as possible to prove his “chicken little” theory is correct.

A 2011 Government Accountability Office report gave a sampling of the vastness of what could be cut, consolidated and rationalized in Washington: 44 overlapping job training programs, 18 for nutrition assistance, 82 (!) on teacher quality, 56 dealing with financial literacy, more than 20 for homelessness, etc. Total annual cost: $100 billion-$200 billion, about two to five times the entire domestic sequester.

Are these on the chopping block? No sir. It’s firemen first. That’s the phrase coined in 1976 by legendary Washington Monthly editor Charlie Peters to describe the way government functionaries beat back budget cuts. Dare suggest a nick in the city budget, and the mayor immediately shuts down the firehouse. The DMV back office, stacked with nepotistic incompetents, remains intact. Shrink it and no one would notice. Sell the firetruck — the people scream and the city council falls silent about any future cuts.

Obama Threatens Veto

Obama Threatens Veto

Let me get this straight….Obama plans to veto any bill that gives him power to implement the sequester that he threatened to veto if anybody proposed a bill that gave them power to change the sequester.

What a idiot devious, dishonest, Chicago style political thug.

Smart People = Common Sense

Smart People = Common Sense

A Former Judge, Sheriff, NRA Constitutional lawyer (smart people) understand what is going on with gun control, why then do police chiefs in California and Chicago don’t?  Is it blind loyalty to a progressive agenda, or are they just useful idiots, (aka stupid people).

Can’t Trust Any Of Them

Can’t Trust Any Of Them

So after the last few months banging the drum for Rand Paul, he jumps ship and votes with dems on the Hagel confirmation.

You just cant trust a politician.

On a 58 to 41 vote, the Senate confirmed the former GOP senator as four Republicans joined 54 Democrats in approving Hagel, ending a nearly two-month battle that included an unprecedented filibuster against the nominee.

The four Republican senators voting in favor were Thad Cochran (Miss.), Mike Johanns (Neb.), Richard C. Shelby (Ala.) and Rand Paul (Ky.). All 41 no votes came from Republicans.

Fox Sports Jason Whitlock Claims 15% Of NFL Players Gay or Bi

I am not sure where this guy gets his information. Pretty much like the rest of liberal America he makes up a statistical number and uses it to push his point. The 15% number has absolutely zero information to substantiate it as accurate. It’s a guess, (and a bad one), and he knows it. But liberals don’t care about accuracy, their main concern is getting others to believe it. I could care less about the plight of a gay NFL player, that’s not the point, the point is that a national writer pulls a number out of his ass, (pardon the pun), and prints it regardless of fact.
He does this for readership by creating controversy….period!

Let’s be honest. I think it’s reasonable to assume that 15 percent of NFL players are gay and/or bisexual. Generally speaking, they’re forced to conceal their sexuality out of fear of being ostracized and potentially released from the team. _ Jason Whitlock FOX Sports
