Obama Bummed GOP Picking On Obamacare

Obama Bummed GOP Picking On Obamacare

Obama’s weekly address 8.17.2013

. . . They’re actually having a debate between hurting Americans who will no longer be denied affordable care just because they’ve been sick – and harming the economy and millions of Americans in the process. And many Republicans are more concerned with how badly this debate will hurt them politically than they are with how badly it’ll hurt the country.

A lot of Republicans seem to believe that if they can gum up the works and make this law fail, they’ll somehow be sticking it to me. But they’d just be sticking it to you.

Obama’s EPA Chief Ready To Kick Down The Doors

Obama’s EPA Chief Ready To Kick Down The Doors

Anyone who states that Obamas speech on climate change is remarkable is most certainly in the liberal fold. Good luck coal industry.

BOULDER, Colo. EPA chief Gina McCarthy said Wednesday that the Obama administration is finished waiting for Congress to act on climate change and plans to bypass the legislative branch in developing a federal response.

Ms. McCarthy, who was confirmed last month as Environmental Protection Agency administrator, cited President Obama’s June 25 speech at Georgetown University, in which he unveiled his Climate Action Plan and vowed to make combatting climate change a priority of his second term.

Mr. Obama gave “what I really think is a most remarkable speech by a president of the United States,” said Ms. McCarthy in remarks at the University of Colorado Boulder.

“Essentially, he said that it is time to act,” she said. “And he said he wasn’t going to wait for Congress, but that he had administrative authorities and that it was time to start utilizing those more effectively and in a more concerted way.”

She insisted that reducing greenhouse-gas emissions could be accomplished without harming economic growth, calling the tension between the two priorities a “false choice.”

“We’re going to do this this year, next year, the following year, until people understand these are not scary things to do, these are actions we can all do, they’re actions that benefit everybody, that will grow the economy, and they’re actions that will protect the health and safety of individuals,” Ms. McCarthy said.

Finally, A Good Use For Domestic Drones

Finally, A Good Use For Domestic Drones

An islamic group is planning a million muslim march on September 11, 2013. I can’t think of a more perfect way to show off the firepower of the domestic drone program, if used properly, I may learn to appreciate them.
Oh and by the way, who the hell do they think they are? Holding something like this on the anniversary of the most horrific terrorist attack in US history, kinda spitting in our faces as far as I am concerned.

We at AMPAC (American Political Action Committee) are planning an historic event for 9.11.13 where one million Muslims will march to Washington D.C. and demand that our civil rights be protected by our government.

We are demanding that laws be enacted protecting our 1st amendment . We are asking President Obama to fulfill his promise from his first campaign for Presidency of a transparent government. Lastly we are asking for the release of the 9/11 commission report to the American people.

The group seems to rationalize the date chosen for their march by claiming that the media has been lying to the American people with regard to the role Islam played in the 9/11 attacks:

On 9.11.01 our country was forever changed by the horrific events in New York. The entire country was victimized by the acts done on that day. Muslim and Non Muslim alike were traumatized but we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains. To this day every media outlet and anti Islamic organization has committed slanderous and libel statements against us as Muslims and our religion of Islam.

Yet our Government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law.

These lies told to the American population has made it impossible for us to do true Dawa. Why do we have to defend our religion while doing Dawa? Why can’t we just share the perfection of the Quran and the beauty of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SWS)?

A Nod to Breitbart for the story.

Son Of Alinsky 2008

Son Of Alinsky 2008

I am not going to give Alinsky credit for jack shit, other than he figured out a way to make idiots useful.

ALL THE elements were present: the individual stories told by real people of their situations and hardships, the packed-to-the rafters crowd, the crowd’s chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment to jump into the political battle, the rallying selections of music, the setting of the agenda by the power people.

The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style.

Barack Obama’s training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen.

Obama learned his lesson well.

I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008.

It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.

Smoke & Mirrors

Smoke & Mirrors

Check out all the talking points and new crisis. Whenever liberals start in on a new argument, generally means they are trying to divert attention from bigger issues.

On Monday’s All In show on MSNBC, host Chris Hayes, (twit), fretted that “climate denialism” by the Republican party’s “right-wing base” is preventing “meaningful climate policy” from being enacted.

After showing clips of California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher at a Tea Party event mocking global warming alarmists, Hayes described the conservative gathering as “the future of the earth in peril,” and “the belly of the beast.” Hayes:

But the fear of a Tea Party primary challenge is endemic in the Republican party right now. And it’s making meaningful climate policy, among other things, completely unachievable in Washington. So what you’re seeing in this room at the Newport Mesa Tea Party Patriots monthly meeting is the future of the earth in peril. In this room, this, this right here, this is the belly of the beast.
