It’s All Been A Lie
Gosh, this DACA two-step kind of reminds me of Obamacare and how gung-ho the True Conservatives were to repeal it when they couldn’t repeal it and how suddenly they turned ungung-ho when they actually could. Weird. If I was cynical, I’d say that it seems like the establishment GOP has been lying to our faces for years and years, but that couldn’t be true because our establishment betters have principles and stuff.
But the establishment ignored the normals out in America as it gorged on the fruits of the normals’ labor, and that’s why a second axis arose and intersected with the American politician spectrum. This new axis measures pro- or con- regarding the status quo and the ruling class. So now there are really four political parties stuffed into two political party infrastructures:
- Right, pro-establishment (The RINOs)
- Right, anti-establishment (The Trump voters)
- Left, pro-establishment (Hillary’s snobby urban corporatist jerk corps)
- Left, anti-establishment (The Bernie/Warren/Stalin Axis of Venezuela)
This explains why we see the DC establishment unifying to protect its power and privilege – and holding us normals in utter contempt. Most Democrat senators and Republican senators have much more in common with each other than with us – to the GOP establishment, Trump’s clearly the bigger threat than a counterpart across the aisle. The One Sided Argument
Rumors Of War
The saber rattling is getting intense with North Korea, stories coming out of the media about nuke capabilities seem to be painting Trump into a corner and forcing him to take action. I have no doubt that our military capability is vastly superior to the Norks, that being said we are currently at war in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and whatever ghost maneuvers our special forces are involved in. Toss in our tense relationship with Iran, China, and Russia and we are stretched pretty thin.
As an American, nothing would please me more than bringing hell fire down on the chubby little dictator just to shut him up. Putting out threats and shabby videos showing North Korea blowing up America is rude, (of course Iran has been doing it for decades). He seems like a spoiled child who doesn’t like being scolded and can’t play with the other kids because….well…..nobody likes him. He needs to have his toys taken away.
But we can’t fight everyone.
If I had to pick one I would get the hell out of Afghanistan. To this day I don’t know what we have gained but I have a good idea of what we have lost. The war on terror has been a perpetual war, the first American attack in Afghanistan happened October 7, 2001, you can do the math but fighting in one country for almost 16 years seems like a long time. We had the Gulf War in 1990-91 but that was a major ass kickin’ when Bush the Elder was running the show, unfortunately W. thought it a good idea to head back in 2003 and finish what his old man had started, been there ever since. Thanks to Obama and his troop withdrawal from Iraq we are now in Syria. Sad.
I don’t know what the current state of political and tribal factions are in Afghanistan, but I don’t think that we are on the cusp of bringing the Taliban to it’s knees. It’s time to let the chips fall where they may, we have given away billions of dollars to corrupt politicians and tribal leaders and it seems nothing has changed. I fear the blood and treasure was wasted in a senseless war that America has nothing to show for.
It’s past time to leave Afghanistan, I wouldn’t let any grass grow under our feet getting out of Iraq and Syria also but I understand the urgency in eliminating ISIS. I don’t know that Afghanistan would become a haven for terrorists or not, and frankly at this point, I don’t care.
“Every recent war has been counterproductive at best. At worst, they have been meat-grinders for our bravest young men.
If we’re ever attacked, we should be prepared to unload our full arsenal. But it’s not our job to create functioning democracies in primitive rape-based societies around the globe.
Apart from an attack on U.S. soil by a foreign country, we are going to live our lives, go to work, celebrate the Fourth of July, and never bother learning the difference in Sunni and Shia Arabs. Once a decade, when we fleetingly remember Yemen or Saudi Arabia, we will hope they’re doing well, then get back to our lives — surrounded by a wall and living in a constitutional democracy, where our greatest young men aren’t continually sacrificed in pointless wars.”

Any Questions??
Power
The quest for power in Washington is a blood lust that can’t be satiated by the job they were elected to do. Pandering to their constituents with absolutely no intention of following through with campaign promises is the status quo for both parties.
They have their hands on the treasure of America, they have access to special interests that know how to circumvent ethics rules so they can line their pockets with riches well beyond their salaries. They vote themselves benefits that normal Americans would be thrilled with yet those benefits are for the well connected…not thee. Power
The government leviathan has built magnificent monuments and buildings over the years for the political elite to do their politicking. It allows the average citizen to stroll through and gaze at the wonder that has been constructed with their own taxes yet never invited to the backroom where their current collected revenue is being doled out to whatever agency or contractor that has donated to the their campaign.
You see, re-election is job one, the most important item on any politicians agenda. Power
“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
― Abraham Lincoln
The character of this current batch of politicians has been measured and found wanting, on both sides. Actions speak louder than words yet words is all we hear. It seems the only way anything gets done nowadays is when it benefits the politicians, not the American people. They talk a good talk but at the end of the day they spend like drunken sailors with no regard for fiscal responsibility. They peer out from their cherrywood appointed offices and scoff at the notion that the peasants have a say in the way things are done, they know better because they assume they are our betters. Power
Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.” ― George Orwell, 1984
We as Americans have sat quietly by and allowed this monstrosity we call the Federal Government to expand and flourish. Politicians and their minions can get away with anything without the fear of repercussion. During the World Wars Americans believed that government had it’s best interests at heart, and without the benefit of information we have now, they were told by newspapers and the big three networks that all is well. Trust the system, be happy, pay your taxes, all is well. Power
With the information highway we can now see what our vaunted elected officials are really up to and it ain’t pretty, but here we are. Changes need to happen, it started with Americans who could see the destruction that Washington was doing and turned their back on the status quo. We elected an individual who is brass, egotistical, and lacking in the art of political articulation. Good. We have had enough of the silver tongued devils telling us all is well.
America needed a Trump, and after him, another one more brash and louder than he is. Nothing will fix the problems in Washington with both party’s having brunch and making deals together because they don’t have Americas best interest in mind, they are just playing cards with taxpayer money and splitting the pot at the end. As long as the house keeps handing them more money they keep playing because the only one losing is the house, it goes against all the rules you know about gambling because the house always wins….unless the game is rigged. Power
So give it up kids, game over. If for some reason you held out hope that things will change the more they remain the same.

Rules Of Political Engagement
“Nothing is proven yet. But we’re beyond obstruction of justice in terms of what’s being investigated,” Kaine said. “This is moving into perjury, false statements, and even into potentially treason.” _ Sen. Tim Kaine (D-ickhead)
So Junior meets with a pal of a pal with the promise of dirt on Hillary, turns out no dirt, no big deal. Wrong Big Deal.
Just as the Russia-palooza tour was dying down Junior gets his hand caught in the cookie jar, no cookie, but he left a mess of crumbs for the Democrats and their propaganda machine CNNMSNBCABCCBS to continue the attack. I don’t know what the kid was thinking but he did his Dad no favors.
That’s the thing about politics, it’s not a fist fight, it’s mud slinging all the while claiming the high moral ground. Junior may have done nothing wrong, but look at the fire storm it’s created, they can now put a Trump in contact with a Russian…boom, they have their mud. Lefties are giddy over this turn of events even in their own mind they know they would do the same thing.
“We need public testimony under oath of Donald Trump Jr. who has changed his story repeatedly,” Schumer told reporters Tuesday.
He added that Trump Jr. and members of the Trump campaign need to “turn over any and all documents” requested by either special counsel Robert Mueller, the Senate Intelligence Committee or the Senate Judiciary Committee, which are each investigating Russia’s election interference. _ Sen. Chuckie Schumer (D-NY)
The point I’m trying to make is Trump and his team have to be smarter than this. The political rules of engagement are different than the private sector because there are no repercussions for politicians, a business can be sued for slander but politicians can say anything they want. Throwing the word “Treason” out there is fighting words where I come from yet Schumer and Kaine see no problem with it, it’s like “racist” or “homophobe”, it’s a handful of mud thrown to see what sticks.
Liberals and the media have it in for this President, Trump took down the Queen Bee and supposed first female POTUS. Trump is reversing a shit load of Obama’s presidency and the progressives pet projects. Liberals got their trophies while Obama was in office, put them up on the mantle, polished them, and turned them into a shrine of liberal dogma, and now someone is taking them away. THEY ARE PISSED. Throw in the Jon McCain’s of the political spectrum and the shrews looking for the next mud puddle are endless. Trump has got to be smarter.
Putting your kids and their significant others out there in the political arena isn’t very smart, this isn’t Trump & Sons Construction, this is a large portion of the Washington machine and their minions finding ways to bring you down. Trump has done an amazing job surrounding himself with great people and has been surprisingly adept at the mud slinging thing, but political novices like Junior are best left in charge of the construction company, not meeting Russian lawyers for whatever reason.

Custer Had Better Odds
The circle continues ’round and ’round. Democrats and their propaganda media arm continue to attack conservatives and the values they stand for. It’s as if they can’t understand why the lost the house, senate, and white house in the last three election cycles regardless of their promise that they will make everything free of charge. Free health care, free college, free abortions, free, free, free. Thankfully the silent majority stood up and countered the socialist regime with the liberals worst case scenario, a billionaire with his own phone and pen willing to chip away at the progressives lefty Utopian goals. Still the left fights back.
The arsenal that liberals can deploy against the Trump administration is large. Watch any late night host and they dedicate their monologues to Trump bashing, listen to news updates on your local radio stations and information about Trump and his administration is presented as scandalous. College campuses across the country openly condone hate speech leveled at Trump, the indoctrinated snowflakes follow along because they don’t know any different, the loudest voices on campus are unattractive ill tempered feminists, affirmative action beneficiaries, and the useful idiots of the “Resist Whatever” movement.
If you have noticed the some of the commercials on TV you see the subliminal messaging of liberal ideology. Single parent, gay couples, and multiculturalism are advertisers preferred method of pitching their products. Toss in Hollywood celebs and musicians taking turns bashing Trump and you can see how the population is being inundated with the lefts dreamscape. Then you have the deep state Obama hold overs and Democrat politicians you can see the uphill battle Trump has to deal with. It would be the same thing with a President Cruz.
It’s no wonder Trump is having issues running the gauntlet of Washington, with so many people whose sole purpose is to disparage anything he does he must feel like Custer at the Little Big Horn, add in the GOPe and #nevertrumpers you would think Custer had better odds, at least he didn’t have to worry turncoats from his own ranks.
The entire political spectrum seems to be spinning just to spin. As long as they have their hands in our wallets and the money keeps flowing in why stop the merry go round. They’re fat and happy living in their mansions and gated communities all paid for by you the taxpayer. No worries about a bad economy, no worries about their healthcare, no worries about retirement, they’ve voted themselves Shangri-La, an earthly paradise, a mythical utopia – a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world.
While they enjoy this world they have built for themselves I’m running on empty, squeezed for every dime they can get their hands on, stressed to the max about healthcare, retirement, and another downturn…all the things they have secured for themselves. Washington has built their paradise, it’s up to the peasants to keep their coffers full and not upset the balance of what they have constructed.
The good cop bad cop routine by the Republicans and Democrats is just smoke and mirrors to keep the masses from grabbing the pitchforks and torches and burning the whole thing down. Representative democracy is a fallacy, there isn’t even a word I can think of that describes what Washington has become, not a monarchy, not tyrannical, not a Banana Republic, you have to have all the players defined for those titles.
No, this self serving monstrosity built on so many levels of government bureaucracy is nothing more than Government Elitism, they know more than you, they dislike you, you are deplorable. They have come from their college campus to the government campus, they have traded the status of a degree for the status of power in government, it’s not a huge jump for the well connected.
The long time “public servants” whose wealth has grown exponentially despite their modest salary pull the levers of power that can start a new department and choose where taxpayer money is spent. They keep the shadow industry of lobbyist appeased for corporate interests or government contracts, all the while claiming to serve the people that elected them….it’s all horse shit….see TSA or DHS, they weren’t around twenty years ago and we don’t need them now. There are other ways to handle the terrorist threat. (Travel ban anyone? How ’bout some good old fashion profiling?)
The last time anything substantive has ever changed Washington was during Ronald Reagans administration and even at that it barely moved the needle in stopping the growth of government. Trump has an opportunity to put a dent in what Obama did to the country, even with the deck stacked against him, but I don’t see him being able to slow the growth of the behemoth. If Reagan couldn’t do it, I doubt much Trump can.
