Get A Life

Get A Life

My previous post about the death of Kobe Bryant drew some stupid and rude comments (and I removed them). I have no connection to the Lakers or Kobe as a fan or admirer, I have a connection as a human being.

Let go of your hate…….

He died with his daughter, if you can’t see your way past that shame on you.

  1. “Let go of your hate…” Couldn’t agree more – we are all broken – try to err on the side of grace. Myself, I am very grateful that I haven’t had that microscopic lens focused on my life. Let this tragedy be a reminder of how precious and short life is…… go and hug someone you care for – before you can’t anymore.

  2. Bravo!
    Well Done!

It is past time to counter and fight back against the organized specific constant dialectic of hate and contempt. Weaponization of open source grass roots communication called comment threads are the highly effective Colonial era version of the Phamplet

For many years, really since the beginning of open free commenting, it is apparent there is an entire group of agent provocateurs whose job is to disrupt undermine subvert the comment threads. If your receiving flack your over the target as they say.
It is become patently obvious. Genuine people with genuine concerns do not post comments which spread doubt, discontent, which specifically attack others for their beliefs insights and observations, and cause constructive discourse breaking the sensitive thread of thinking or discourse.
They make genuine comments. Seems some threads are almost infested completely with these hate mongers and spreaders of discontent. WRSA seemed particularly infested. After awhiles I got to recognizing certain tells and characteristics, some of these trolls seem to have a number of avatars and will also tag team particular genuine commenters. They populate a number of blog commentary threads.

I call them The Human Extinction Movement. Nothing else seems to explain the collective nature of these haters. No matter who their leash holders are. Yet nobody is forcing these people into their activities. The collective hive mind these people seem to share though, thats bad stuff no matter how it’s sliced.
In no uncertain terms it is absolutely unacceptable. I believe when a plurality of us begin to treat it as such we then change the dialectic and own it proudly and rightfully, and we effect positive change. This is kryptonite to “THEM”.

    1. Phil C. = Well said!
Rarely do I post something that would warrant my black listing commenters but these guys showed a lack of heart for a sad tragedy…..so….my site me rules.

      1. I’m sticking up for you in no uncertain terms.
        Indeed. Your rules.
Getting your own blog so you can toot your horn requires personal courage, fortitude, and bravery. You must take risks, employ prudence, and be accountable. Hard to do hit and run and drive by commentary if your responsible for your words.
That last though, Prudence, that’s the biggy, rather the absence of prudence, that just because you believe you are right does not absolve one of responsibility of the consequences of your words and actions. The victim stance is another, it is a powerful one.
The prudence thing, it is one of the great issues of our time. It’s whats going to be the crux of 4th G. War.

  3. I am more concerned about ATC [Air Traffic Controllers] and the pilot. SVFR [Special Visual Flight Rules] to go into a cloud/fog through the mountains. Really?! Maybe at a hover, following a guy walking with a big flashlight.

The tour of Glendale suggests a real estate shopping trip. Somebody forgot about the ridge next to the road to the park and the beach.
