If You Repeat It Enough, It’s Not A Lie

Finally somebody gets it.
“No one will defend Sterling. But no one should have to. What people should defend is his right to say whatever the hell he wants, regardless of whether it is deemed to be correct by the authorities.
Remember when people could voice their opinions in private conversations without the risk of being ripped to pieces by the rabid jackals comprising the media? When people would respond even to the most obnoxious statements by saying, “It’s a free country; you’re free to your opinion” or even, “While I disagree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it”? We were a far better people then than we are now. keep reading
I am at my wits end. Everything that bugs the shit out of me is hitting me on all sides, political correctness, liberal outrage, race baiters, and now we are told illegal immigrants are close to becoming Americans. I’m exhausted.
“I want to let you in on a little secret. We are going to pass that bill and sign it into law this year,” said the New York Democrat, one of the authors of a Senate immigration bill that would provide a path to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants, overhaul the current system and boost border enforcement.
A reform measure is now stalled in the House.
“We will have an immigration bill — it may not be exactly the Senate bill — on the floor of the House … We will come to an agreement. They will put that bill on the President’s desk for President Obama to sign into law,” Schumer said.
And this is how I feel:
“These people are playing with matches… I don’t think they understand the scope and scale of the wildfire they are flirting with. They are fucking around with a civil war that could last a decade and cause millions of deaths… and the sad truth is that 95% of the problems we have in this country could be solved tomorrow, by noon… simply by dragging 100 people out in the street and shooting them in the fucking head.”
If you have a private conversation with your whore and she records it illegally, you lose everything.
If you choose not to serve a gay couple due to your moral compass, you can be sued and forced by the courts to do so.
If you make a small donation to a pro marriage group and you are a CEO, you are forced to resign, even though it was years ago.
If you made racists remarks decades ago, become a famous years later, and the remarks are brought to light, you are fired.
I understand the way of the world but this seems to have become a militant witch hunt for anyone who does not tow the PC line. I realize there are things you just can’t say anymore and I respect that, but where does it stop? How far will it go? At this writing I don’t see a ceiling, the PC police are becoming weaponized and at some point it will encroach on your constitutional rights.
“In post-reality America, this will be the dominant story of 2014. Even the coming election will not get the same level of coverage. In fairness to the press, it probably should be the dominant story. After all, this will be the first time a billionaire member of The Cult will be stripped bare in public and sent off to the cultural equivalent of Siberia. All of our rich and tall black people are upset with him. Magic Johnson, a very rich and tall black person, is angry. LeeBong James, currently the most famous tall black guy in America, wants Sterling banished. The comically illiterate Stephen A. Smith wants the tall wealthy black employees of Sterling to boycott their next game. If you are not publicly and passionately outraged by the evil Donald Sterling, you are a monster! All joking aside, it says something about the state of the nation when the ramblings of a cuckolded old weirdo, apparently in some sort of spat with his paramour, make national news.” keep reading
Congrats New York, 4400 jobs shot to hell.
In a huge rejection of the United States’s corporate income tax rate – the highest in the world – America’s second-largest drug company, Pfizer, Inc., just proposed a merger with Britain’s AstraZeneca that would move the company away from New York’s combined 42.1% corporate rate and into the United Kingdom’s 20% rate.
Pfizer has been based in New York City since its founding in 1849.
But, but, the new business friendly tax free New York?
Ian Read, Pfizer’s Scottish-born Chief Executive, said that the proposed deal would let Pfizer eliminate “redundant functions” and overlapping operations. “Redundant functions” is business-speak for dumping staff at the New York corporate headquarters. The company already sold its 685 Third Avenue New York City office building in 2010 for $190 million. Currently, 4,400 employees are consolidated at the company’s world headquarters at 235 East 42nd Street, near Grand Central Terminal.
It’s the same game, just another generation. This couple is divorcing and splitting up assets paid for with dollars pulled out of Washington, your tax dollars hard at work. Indirectly or directly it comes from the same place, the American taxpayer.
“after 11 years of marriage, and charges of Heather’s unfaithfulness, their contentious divorce is centered on who gets the $5.6 million mansion in Washington, as well as homes in Virginia, Italy, and Australia. Then there is the “world famous” art collection with 1,300 pieces estimated to be worth hundreds of millions, in addition to the jewelry, investments, and both businesses with prestigious Fortune 500 clients. Most intriguing will be the valuing of the “Podesta brand” that Heather insists she helped build. Splitting these assets will buy the best divorce lawyers in the city their “new vacation homes.”” keep reading
Probably just me, but it sure looks like after 50 years of alarm they still don’t know jack shit, other than lie for political and monetary gain, peasants be damned. Glad to see one professor has some balls.
IPCC reports are supposed to be scrupulously independent as they give scientific advice to governments around the world to help them shape energy policies – which in turn affect subsidies and domestic power bills.
Three quarters of the original version of the document ended up being deleted.
Prof Stavins claimed the intervention amounted to a serious ‘conflict of interest’ between scientists and governments. His revelation is significant because it is rare for climate change experts to publicly question the process behind the compilation of reports on the subject. keep reading
In other news:
Environmental Protection Agency administrator Gina McCarthy has issued a warning to Republicans who continue to question the integrity of the agency’s scientific data: we’re coming for you.
McCarthy told an audience at the National Academy of Sciences on Monday morning the agency will go after a “small but vocal group of critics” who are arguing the EPA is using “secret science” to push costly clean air regulations.
“Those critics conjure up claims of EPA secret science — but it’s not really about EPA science or secrets. It’s about challenging the credibility of world renowned scientists and institutions like Harvard University and the American Cancer Society,” McCarthy said, according to Politico.
But didn’t Prof. Stavins, a world renowned scientist, just say that was a crock? I’m confused.
We are going to be overwhelmed with the headlines for weeks, “Old White Men Are Racists”!
It’s inevitable, and it’s left wing gold directly from the Utopian vault. Even before the tape machines could cool down the media were given copies to air across the country. Obviously Bundy spoke his mind and it wandered into the large politically correct cabinet of things you just can’t say. And Sterling is a sad wealthy old man who got screwed in more ways than one by the latest skankster he chose to trust.
The speed with which the Minority Machine whirred into national action also was suspect. The announcers and commentators couldn’t get the Korrekt denunciations outta their mouths fast enough. No one had context yet; no one really understood the background yet. But that didn’t stop the usual Lemming rush over each other to see who could denounce most convincingly and passionately the Racist America in which such Evil White Males still hold all the power, etc. And etc.
As Barry Boy hinted darkly, the U.S. is still full of Sterlings, thus there is Much More Still To Be Done before it’s safe for Minorities and Women (U.S. females also live under a state of Siege and War, doncha know!) to take their fair place in a nation that stands for freedom, equality, and civil rights blah lie blah.
Half-a-century of disenfranchising, degrading, and denouncing the Evil White Male is starting to show diminishing returns. The Economy isn’t thriving under Feminism and Diversity. Therefore it is time for the Evil White Males (preferably, very rich and public EWMs) to demonstrate directly to the Almighty People exactly how racist, misogynist, homophobic, LGBT-phobic, and etc. the nation truly is. Result: rationalizations for continued (and escalated) cultural and legal beat downs of the Evil White Male on a silver electronic platter.
Why did they need to have a summit about food safety anyway, haven’t we pretty much figured out how food can make you ill? And these people are supposedly in charge….idiots.
More than 100 people have now reported they got sick with suspected food poisoning at a national Food Safety Summit held earlier this month in Baltimore.
Maryland state health officials say they still don’t know what caused the outbreak of gastroenteritis that left participants suffering symptoms that included diarrhea and nausea. “We are working on evaluating possible exposures and doing testing at the Maryland state public health laboratory to attempt to identify an agent,” officials said in a letter to attendees.
The conference, held April 8 to 10 at the Baltimore Convention Center, attracted at least 1,300 of the top food safety officials in the nation, including staff from federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as businesses such as McDonald’s, Tyson and ConAgra Foods.
Health officials have heard back from about 400 of those who attended, so the actual toll of illness might be higher. keep reading
